Nicole N. Lenar was born and raised in New Jersey and has resided locally her entire life.  Ms. Lenar graduated from West Morris Central High School, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, Rutgers College and received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law.

While at Rutgers, Ms. Lenar was an advocate for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and individuals that were mentally incapacitated.  Ms. Lenar actively participated in clinics to assist these individuals with the coping mechanisms necessary to overcome the stigma of these illnesses and to assist these individuals with their transition to what is considered “normal” in our society.

While at Quinnipiac, Ms. Lenar interned at the State Attorney’s Office; focusing on Drug crimes and Sexual Abuse crimes.  Additionally, Ms. Lenar actively participated in the Health Law Program and assisted with the review, preparation and analysis of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) for compliance with the laws in the State of Connecticut.  Further, Ms. Lenar held a fellowship position at Legal Services of North West Jersey, where she assisted indigent persons in matrimonial, landlord/ tenant, small claims and commitment hearings.

Ms. Lenar is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the District of Columbia and the State of Florida.  Prior to opening her office in 2005, Ms. Lenar served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John H. Pursel, J.S.C., Criminal Division, County of Warren, State of New Jersey. As Judicial Law Clerk, she assisted with research, preparation of legal memorandum and decisions for Criminal, Municipal Appeals, Civil and Probate matters.

Ms. Lenar’s legal services are extensive and include, but are not limited to: Family, Family Mediation, Estate Planning/ Litigation, Civil, Real Estate, Personal Injury, Landlord/ Tenant and Workers Comp. Ms. Lenar appears regularly in Courts throughout the State of New Jersey.  Ms. Lenar has lectured on various legal issues and taught paralegal classes at Warren County Community College.  Additionally, Ms. Lenar is the first female Municipal Court Judge in Warren County.  Ms. Lenar presides over the Town of Belvidere, Liberty Township, Harmony Township, Franklin Township, Frelinghuysen Township, Independence Township and the Town of Hackettstown.  These Courts have jurisdiction over traffic offenses, local ordinances, weights and measures, fish and game and petty/ petty disorderly persons offenses.  Additionally, Ms. Lenar is a former commitment Judge for Carrier Clinic and Greystone Psychiatric Park and Somerset County IOC.

Ms. Lenar is an active member of the Warren County Bar Association and was the Warren County Bar Association President from 2013-2014.  She is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Florida Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar Association.  Ms. Lenar is also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and an active volunteer with the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife.  Ms. Lenar is a former member of Mountain Lake Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary and the Warren County Chamber of Commerce.

The Court routinely appoints Ms. Lenar as guardian for alleged incapacitated persons and the Attorney of Record for Pro Bono matters.  Ms. Lenar has previously served as a Pool Attorney for the Office of the Public Defender.

Ms. Lenar is known as a zealous advocate with a superior record of success.  She is routinely commended for her compassion, dedication and genuine concern for her client’s well-being.  Further, her positive rapport with other attorneys often assists her in resolving contested legal matters expeditiously and without unnecessary financial expense to her clients.
